Boron Rods
Description
Lectros Boron Rods are fused glass-like,
exceptionally concentrated, wood preservatives
manufactured from inorganic borates. They have
been developed to provide the maximum level of
preservative available in the rod form. This provides
a highly effective method
for preventing fungal decay in both heartwood
and sapwood of new and in service timbers.

Lectros Boron Rods are placed strategically
in wood where it is at risk from becoming wet.
They dissolve in the water in wet wood to release
the preservative which is then distributed within
the wood by water movement. As water provides
the primary condition for wood decay the Lectros
Boron Rods provide an exceptional
and effective moisture controlled preservative
system which is located precisely where
it is required.

Description

such as Dry Rot (Serpula lacrymans) on brickwork,

Wood Preservative
Boracol B40 Gel
Description
Lectros Boracol B40 Gel is an amber coloured
product of 40% Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate
in ethylene glycol. It is designed for use
as a treatment for in-situ building timbers
to eradicate fungal
attack and preserve against attack
from both fungi and wood
boring insects.
It is of major importance as an implanted
preservative in pre-drilled holes, in embedded
damp timbers and as an integral part of
any joist-end protection system, where it
is used in conjunction with Boron
Rods.
